There are many advantages of photos such as, they allow you to quickly capture moving objects, such as dancers or athletes. Also, photos can be taken at places, where it may be difficult to set up an easel. With the invention of digital photography, it has become possible to click a photo of a crowded place, and it can be enlarged on the computer. You can isolate the wanted part from this photo and can turn the photo to painting. It is possible to combine photos, to convert them into an interesting painting. Secondly, photos can be considered an aid for painting and drawing, as they give an idea of the size of an object so that proportionate figures can be created. The disadvantage of working with photos is that, through a camera, all things look similar, whereas, the human eye sees things selectively. The camera is not capable to capture all the colors and therefore values and colors can be affected by the camera.
